Traditional Handcrafts : چاپ پست الکترونیکی

  Traditional arts are part of a cultural heritage left behind by our ancestors. They manifest the talent and creativity of their exponents and represent the artistic cultural, historic and economic aspects of any region . The traditional arts of Mazandaran typify the religious and cultural characteristics of its inhabitants. They came into existence in response to the needs of their makers.

Crafting wooden items is one of the traditional arts which include the daily used array of wooden trays (danepash), skimmers ladles, canes, etc. The villagers occupy themselves with felt-making, straw plaiting, jajim weaving, silk weaving and socks knitting in their leisure time. Carpets are among handcrafts producted in accordance with the specific artistic features found in any region. On the old boulevard of Ramsar, it dates back to the early Pahlavi period The exterior façade is covered with veined marble stones. Facing to the north , the enterance avian features four pillars made of monolithic marble stones, engraved capitals and plinths. The palace includes a central hall and different chambers .

The ceilings of the hall, the chambers and the avian are decorated with colored stucco carvings of vegetal, human and animal patterns. Two stone statues of lions stand on the southern side of the building. The artistic elements used in this construction combine the arts of western and oriental countries.

Chalous:

Kelar-dasht carpet is the most important handcraft produced in Chaloos. These carpets are sold in Iran and also exported to Austria, France, Italy, Canada, Germany and the countries of the Persian Gulf.The similarity among the motifs of Kelar-dasht as well as Kordestan, Fars and Kermanshah, indicates that the Lor and Kord tribes from the Zagros region immigrated to this area, in the past.

The motifs used in decorating Kelar-dasht rugs comprise: “Majm‘ai”, “Sanduqi”, “Jangali”, “Shekargah”, “Shekari Marzqan”, “Shah-‘Abbasi” and “Gol-Sini”.

Kelar-dasht carpet is famous for its high quality because of using chemical, natural and fast dyes. Besides carpet-weaving, there are many kinds of traditional handcrafts in Kelar-dasht. Some of these are: felt-making, straw-plaiting, jajim-weaving, knitting of woolen socks and gloves, and pottery.

Ramsar :

From the past up to now, there were many kinds of traditional handcrafts in Ramsar, but nowadays we just have their names and only few workshops remain. Some of these are : wrapper- weaving, felt-making, pottery and wood-turning.

Wrapper-weaving :

wrapper-weaving is one of the traditional arts in Ramsar which flourished many years ago, Large and small silk handkerchiefs are locally known as “Saroq” or “Chashdastmal” woolen waist coats and various cloths are among handcrafts produced in Ramsar. Nowadays, some of the people occupy themselves with wrapper-weaving just in their houses.

Felt-Making :

Many years ago, there were many felt-making centers, but today they are not flourishing because they produce carpets and mats today and some of the people occupy themselves with felt-making in Lapasar and Lat-Mahalleh of Ramsar.

Pottery:

One of the traditional handcrafts of Ramsar is pottery ,which flourished many years ago, nut today only few workshops remain in Pa`in-Mazoo and Sheikh—Zahed-Mahhalleh.

Wood-Turning :

The villagers occupy themselves with turning in Bamsi and Miyanlat villages( dependence of Sakhtsar hamlet) and produce kitchen utensils and board cloth loom elements.
